UGC is normally either photography or videography based.
There are two conventional types of UGC: Organic and Paid Content.
Although my expertise is in Product Placement UGC - this is content that feels native to social media and is more demonstrative of lifestyle content with the product/service integrated. It is UGC that can be used both organically and paid but it doesn’t feel like an ad and isn’t overly salesy. -
UGC isn’t just for social media.
Of course you have organic and paid ad usage on social media but there are also other uses for this content.
Digital:
Website - product demos, user testimonials, step by step process. The authenticity of UGC can help humanise your website, brand and make your product or service more appealing through social proof.
Digital Ads - This includes website banners, display ads, pop ups. UGC can be utilised and adapted for all digital advertising to humanise your brand across multiple digital touchpoints.
Podcast/Streaming Services - UGC is typically video driven, but it can be adapted to suit audio only campaigns on podcasts or streaming services.
VR/Metaverse -As the adoption of the metaverse and VR worlds take off, UGC can be utilised and adapted for ads within these virtual spaces and games.Offline:
Print - My range of UGC Photography can be utilised in print campaigns within newspapers, magazines, flyers, zines etc. It can also provide stand out through in-flight materials and displays.
Broadcast - UGC works well digitally but it can also extend to broadcast campaigns including TV and Radio.
OOH - UGC Photography can be utilised in OOH billboards and posters, whereas video UGC can also be adapted for digital billboards, digital bus shelter or tube advertising.
There are many applications for UGC, you just need to find the right creator who is capable of adapting the content to suit its environment.
